Join us for Beyond the Surface: A Hip Hop Showcase by Youth!
Doors open at 5:30pm, Show starts at 6:30pm!
Twice a year the BRL community comes together to highlight and celebrate the creative and personal achievements of our youth. Through this wonderful tradition we remember our youth are not simply “at risk” but rather “at promise”, and with the right care they can heal, grow and lead.
Beyond The Surface represents the importance of looking deeper into the lives of at-promise youth and understand that they are all more than the eye can see. Youth are the jewels and such major keys to unlock and brighten up the future of the world. The layers of these youth's lives represent resilience and creativity, which the community will get a glance into this at the showcase. We hope for everyone to join us for this incredible evening of lyrical expression, fun and healing!
The Beyond The Surface showcase will feature:
Performances from Youth at our San Francisco, East Bay, Bayview YMCA, and The Academy groups!
BRL Merch Shop (Buttons, stickers, shirts, much more)
Snacks and Refreshments
