Behind The Lens featuring Henry Diltz and Pattie Boyd @ GAMH

SEE EVENT DETAILS
SHOW 8pm DOOR 7pm
Behind The Lens is a live show presented by the artists themselves as they share their amazing stories and iconic images with audiences nationwide.  Behind The Lens with Pattie Boyd and Henry Diltz sold-out its first 5-city tour in September 2015, exhibiting to cheering crowds and standing ovations. Due to this overwhelming success, Morrison Hotel Gallery is bringing Behind The Lens with Pattie Boyd and Henry Diltz back on the road with a bigger, 13-city tour in March and April of 2016. The tour will start in Santa Barbara, CA and stop in San Francisco and Grass Valley, before heading to Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida and Georgia.
Morrison Hotel Gallery is sharing its era-defining photographers with the world. To blossom its new brand, Behind The Lens, the gallery takes its iconic photographers on the road, and brings these legendary image-makers directly to the people. This concept is part of Morrison Hotel Gallery’s commitment to keep the breathtaking images their photographers created, a part of current cultural dialogue. They are bringing the visual back to music.
As part of the Morrison Hotel Gallery brand of Behind The Lens, they are adding a very special component – An Evening with Bernstein, Diltz and Nash for two nights at the Largo in Los Angeles.  Renowned photographers Joel Bernstein, Henry Diltz and Graham Nash will come together for two very special nights of a large-screen presentation and multi-decade retrospective. Three defining visionaries of American culture together on stage, talking about their careers, their body of work and the ties that bind them together.
Henry Diltz is considered one of the greatest music photographers of the last century. His oeuvre spans over 400,000 images, including over 400 album covers, featuring such luminaries as The Doors, Crosby, Still and Nash, James Taylor to name a few. Pattie Boyd, the “Queen of the Sixties” is a drop-dead gorgeous model, the inspiration for the timeless love songs ‘Something,” “Layla” and “Wonderful Tonight,” and an acclaimed photographer. Her intimate and revealing body of work includes photographs of George Harrison, the Beatles, and Eric Clapton, among others.
This innovative touring gallery is presented by Morrison Hotel Gallery, in association with Monterey International booking agency, produced and directed by gallery co-owner and founder Peter Blachley and executive produced by gallery co-owners Rich Horowitz and Timothy White. The Behind The Lens tour will feature a live presentation of still and moving images along with the stories told by each photographer.
Pattie and Henry will be offering special, hand-signed prints after each show. After the Bernstein, Diltz and Nash shows, the photographers will also offer special, hand-signed prints as well.
"We were thrilled with the successful premiere of the Behind The Lens tour.  With the sold-out shows last fall, we all felt that we should continue the concept with a new tour in early 2016. Pattie Boyd and Henry Diltz have unequivocal proven that this show – this tour and this concept - will continue to delight audiences as we embark on a even bigger tour this spring, and more tours in the future." - Peter Blachley, Morrison Hotel Gallery co-owner, Behind The Lens director and producer.
