The shinobue is popular accompaniment to taiko and Japanese folk and other traditional and modern music. It is a beautiful and lively instrument.

We will be covering making a sound, posture, breath control, how to play the first octave with confidence and over the month cover how to play your first song on the Shinbue.
Flutes can be provided if needed we will be practicing on an 8-hon Shinobue.
Class starts Thurs July 3rd from 7:30-9 pm at Hewlett Studios 26 Seventh St, 5th Floor, San Francisco. No experience or instrument necessary. Class Cost: $120 a month. Starting Material Fees: $20 (if you don't already own a 8 hon fue). Advanced classes also available. Just ask. : )
