Project Tango/Cellspace Alternative Milonga presents: Beginner Progressive Tango Class 6 Week Series: JUL/AUG 2017 Session with Emily Webb
$90, JUL 12-AUG 16, 8:10-9:10pm each Wednesday for 6 weeks at SOMArts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan Street, SF
Each session is a one-hour class, followed by the DJ'd dance event (milonga) 9pm-midnight; admission to the milonga event after each class for 6 weeks is included in the price of registration. The series sequentially covers tango fundamental vocabulary from the begining, as well as etiquette and musicality of Argentine Tango. No partner or prior experience necessary (though participants may find it helpful to attend a drop-in class or 2 prior to attending the series).
Register online or at the front desk beforehand by the first class JULY 12. If you miss the start of this series, you MAY be allowed to join starting the 2nd or 3rd week at the teachers’ discretion. Project Tango continues to offer a weekly drop-in Beginner class at the same time as this sequential series, weekly. VENUE ENTRY/PARKING: Please go down long driveway to the right of building to find Main Entrance. Security guard Frank is present at the street entrance to the driveway all night. Free parking in lot ACROSS the street after 7pm.

ABOUT THE TEACHER: Emily Webb began her love affair with partner dance Lindy Hop in 1996 and in 1997 she fell for Tango. Through the years Emily has studied Tango, Swing, Salsa, Blues, and Fusion dance with some the top instructors in the world. Today Tango and Fusion remain Emily's greatest dance loves. Thousands of students across the US and Canada have benefited from Emily's dynamic and interactive teaching style. Emily has completed multiple teachers trainings in and out of dance, is a certified instructor of Krav Maga (martial art) and has a BS in Equine Science with a specialty in teaching. Emily's passion for teaching, knowledge of body mechanics, and specialized drills produce top notch classes and solid results for students of all levels. While she loves to geek out on technique Emily also believes learning should be experiential and fun. Come to class and get ready to find your own dance love!
