Join WildAid, Surfrider SF, and Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary for the first-ever Beach Cleanup Bash - it’s free - at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. This event features a full afternoon of fun, educational activities: lend a helping hand to keep our beach environment clean and beautiful; learn from local conservation experts about the importance of marine protected areas and the role they play in protecting endangered marine species around the world; enjoy complimentary refreshments and mingle with fellow ocean-lovers. This is a family-friendly event.

WHAT: An educational volunteer day and celebration of marine conservation efforts, both local and international.

WHERE: Ocean Beach, Stairwell 17 (directly across from the Park Chalet Restaurant), San Francisco

2:00-4:00pm: Beach Cleanup with Surfrider SF
4:00-4:45pm: Presentations by WildAid Marine and Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary (GFNMS) on the importance of marine protected areas, the role they play in protecting endangered marine species both locally and internationally, and how you can get involved. Speakers include:

4:45-5:30pm: Beach Bonfire and Social Hour; Complimentary refreshments provided + WildAid Raffle.
*Please wear comfortable shoes and bring extra layers as it can be chilly at the beach. Event will happen rain or shine.
