Description

This workshop is part of Friends of Tamalpa ArtCorps, a series of workshops that feature very special guests and whose proceeds benefit ArtCorps, Tamalpa's social engagement program.

A collaboration between somatic expressive arts therapist Rosario Sammartino, and cellist Joshua McClain, the Tamalpa Be Moved workshop, invites you to journey into your body’s own dynamic melodies, dive into feeling and imagination, and move to the rhythm of discovery. Let the powerful vibrations of the cello, combined with the evocative teachings of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process open you up to the stories your body has to tell.

This daylong workshop is designed for everyone. No previous experience in dance/art needed.

DATE: June 9, 2018
TIME: 10AM - 5PM

Proceeds benefit Tamalpa ArtCorps

Joshua McClain is a progressive cellist who loops his sound live on stage to create multi-layered soundscapes-exploring rock, blues, and electronic styles. While classically trained, McClain has evolved his style into an unbridled, mesmerizing sound experience-all his own. A multi-talented musician and singer/songwriter, McClain has shared the stage with a host of likeminded musical trailblazers, including AJ Croce, legendary Hawaiian folk singer Jon Osorio, Eurasian Rung, TV Mike and the Scarecrows, a&r, The Veranda Trio, Valencia Robinson, and Trio in Stereo.
