Bay City Blues is our weekly showcase of world class Blues music and superb instrumental talent. This event is a celebration of the Blues in all its forms and an adventure into the depth of a national genre. Hosted by the nationally recognized "Kid" Andersen, every week they invite a new special guest to accompany them on stage and present new, upcoming, & old talent from the blues world! Bay City Blues is our tribute and exploration into the Blues genre, it is a special event in which we all get to help, share, & “Preserve the Blues."

About Kid Andersen:
Chris “Kid” Andersen was born in Telemark, Norway in 1980. A blues fan since childhood, Andersen fell in love with the music of Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, Junior Watson, and the Kings (B.B., Albert and Freddie). By the time he was 18, he was backing all the American blues stars who came through Norway, including Homesick James, Nappy Brown and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith. He moved to California at age 21, eventually earning himself a green card as an “Alien of Extraordinary Ability.” Andersen released four solo albums before joining blues harmonica legend Charlie Musselwhite’s band in 2004, a gig that lasted until he joined Rick Estrin & The Nightcats. Kid Andersen is known as the guitarist for Rick Estrin & The Nightcats with 3 BMA Nominations for Guitarist of the Year. The virtuoso also is the man behind Greaseland Studios, THE hub for authentic Blues Music in the Bay Area. Kid is bringing some of his favorite collaborators to Biscuits and Blues.

About Kyle Jester:
Kyle Jester is one of the most talented and remarkable figures of the new generation of Bay Area based blues artists. He is equally strong as a singer and guitarist, pairing a golden-toned soulful raspy voice with a stinging, energetic lowdown blues approach to his guitar playing. Kyle brings a spirited, youthful vibe to the old school Blues and Rock’n’Roll music he serves up. He played and toured with the bands of Candye Kane, Earl Thomas and Freddie Brooks before branching out on his own.
