Bay Choral Guild and the New Millennium Chamber Orchestra present Mozart's Requiem, in a completion by Mozart scholar and musicologist Robert D. Levin. This edition, which premiered in 1991, contains a new Amen fugue at the end of the Lacrymosa, as well as revisions which reflect the character, texture and structure of Mozart's music. The program also includes Toward the Unknown Region, a "festival" cantata for chorus and orchestra by Ralph Vaughan Williams, set to poetry by Walt Whitman, as well as Beethoven's Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus.
Soloists for this performance are Claire Kelm, soprano; Danielle Sampson, alto; Elliott Encarnacion, tenor and Nikolas Nackley,bass.
