Barry Green, jazz and classical double bassist, is joined by Black Olive Jazz artists, guitarist Lenny Carlson and vocalist-actress Kay Andreas Kostopoulos, as well as the High School and University bass ensembles from Lafayette and Santa Cruz in a family program of love songs and soul music from Spain, Ireland, Brazil, Africa and America. It's all in celebration of Valentines Week -- from "My Funny Valentine" to "Bacharach's "Look of Love" to "The Last Contrabass from Vegas" for bass and actress by Eugene Kurtz. Music by Piazzolla, de Falla, Rabbath, Osborne and more.

Barry Green, a native Californian, served as Principal Bassist of the Cincinnati Symphony for 28 years. As former Executive Director of the Int'l Society of Bassists, he is currently directing a young bassist program for the San Francisco Symphony Education Department, teaches privately at Stanley Intermediate in Lafayette & at UCSC.
