Barry Green, jazz and classical double bassist, is joined by Black Olive Jazz artists, guitarist Lenny Carlson and vocalist-actress Kay Andreas Kostopoulos, as well as the High School and University bass ensembles from Lafayette and Santa Cruz in a family program of love songs and soul music from Spain, Ireland, Brazil, Africa and America. It's all in celebration of Valentines Week -- from "My Funny Valentine" to "Bacharach's "Look of Love" to "The Last Contrabass from Vegas" for bass and actress by Eugene Kurtz. Barry Green, a native Californian, served as Principal Bassist of the Cincinnati Symphony for 28 years. As former Executive Director of the Int'l Society of Bassists, he is currently directing a young bassist program for the San Francisco Symphony Education Department, teaches privately at Stanley Intermediate in Lafayette & at UCSC.
