Bacilos is a pan-American group that was formed in Miami in the 1990s with more than 27 years of experience. For years, they played the local scene and this allowed them to develop a multicultural sound that would turn them into a regional success when they were signed in 1999. Their unique style fuses Latin folklore with rock and pop. Almost three decades later, their songs have become classics that bring generations together at their concerts. In May 2024, Bacilos released their sixth studio album titled 'Pequeños Romances' containing 11 tracks which showcased their evolution as musicians and songwriters, showing an artistic maturity and thematic depth that resonates with a diverse and passionate audience worldwide. The album was recorded inside Studio C at the legendary Criteria Recording Studios.
BACILOS has achieved resounding success during their recent media tour in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and Canada, culminating in impressive performances that sold out in Mexico City as well as in Barcelona and Montreal. The Miami-based Latin rock band was formed in the mid-'90s by three students from the University of Miami, Colombian singer/songwriter and guitarist Jorge Villamizar, Brazilian bassist André Lopes, and Puerto Rican percussionist José Javier Freire.
Bacilos recently released their eagerly anticipated third album, SinVerguenza on September 28, 2004. Recorded in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and Miami, Florida with renowned producers Tom Capone and Juan Vicente Zambrano; the result is an album that highlights distinct facets of Bacilos... sensations separated by geography, to create a combination of different worlds coming together in one musical production. SinVerguenza is the follow up to their sophomore album, Caraluna, which started it all for the trio. . .
