Babymorocco

at Rickshaw Stop (8pm)
Babymorocco with Harmony Tividad

Babymorocco is a singular voice in experimental pop and club music, blending hyper-emotional songwriting with a palette drawn from early 2000s dance, French electro, 2-step, and hardcore. His debut album Amour, executive produced by Frost Children, is a 16-track odyssey through the outer edges of pure pop structures breaking down into club intensity, big feelings warped through blown-out speakers, sugar highs, and ego death.

Babymorocco has landed on the covers of Gay Times, Dork, and TOH! Mag, with support from Pitchfork, The Guardian, NME, The FADER, DIY, i-D and more. He's built a cult around the body - his own and the crowd's - through live shows that blur performance and possession, now infamous for their feral energy, shared sweat, and unhinged devotion. He's supported The Dare on his European tour, shared stages with Jockstrap, COUCOU CHLOE and Frost Children, appeared as a guest at Shygirl's Boiler Room, and completed his first headline tour in Australia.

Then came Amour: The Jean Paul Deluxe: a four-track prelude and postscript, and the formal arrival of its central figure. Every Babymorocco release traces the life cycle of a persona: conceived, revealed, erased. Jean Paul is the body behind Amour, not a symbol or metaphor, but flesh and feeling. The deluxe marked his arrival and with it, the inevitably of his demise.

Babymorocco recently completed a headline tour across the UK, EU and US, with sold-out shows in London, New York and LA.
