AWARD-WINNING ARTIST/AUTHOR, JAN SMALL, DISPLAYS STUDENT’S WORK AT NEWPARK MALL’S CULTURAL CORNER

WHAT: Jan Small’s students art will be on display at NewPark Mall’s Cultural Corner throughout the month of May. Small has taught art for over 45 years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been seen on television and published in newspapers and magazines. Her work has also been secured for public and private collections. Small’s students will display art that expresses the lesson plan: drawing, design/composition, shapes, shadow/lighting, texture, perspective, portrait/figure and the science of color. The students have written stories about each piece, which will be featured near each artwork. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public. For more information, visit https://www.NewParkMall.com. The Cultural Corner, which opened in May 2011, provides exhibit space for the work of local artisans, including painters, sculptors, photographers and digital artists.
