Join us for the Autodesk Pier 9 Residency Showcase! We are open to the public for two days only: December 3, Saturday and December 4, Sunday, 12 PM-5 PM.

Pier 9 is Autodesk's 35,000 sq. ft. world-class workshop facility, developed to explore every stage of the process of making. Through a culture of collaboration and experimentation, The Pier 9 Residency Program brings together artists, engineers, designers and interdisciplinary fabricators to explore what it means to be able to make anything and push the limits of digital fabrication.
This year, we have some category defying work in digital making, art, and technical research. This includes direct manipulation-based CNC, glass 3D printing, digital fabrication in shoe making, generative architecture, data collecting ocean drifters, AR-haptic CAD tools, machine learning applications, and a fish that can use a hammer.
Projects will be installed throughout the workshop including the 3D Print Lab, Textiles Lab, CNC Workshop, Wood and Metal Shops, in and around the tools and machines used to create them.
Admission is free and you do not need tickets for the weekend.
Guided showcase tours will be available at 1 PM and 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday. In person tour signups are on a first-come, first-served basis.
All attendees must sign a safety and liability waiver.
Every child under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
There is no parking at the Pier! We recommend using public transportation.
