Statement from the curator:
"I've chosen Ataraxia as the title for this exhibition based on it's definition, "a kind of inner peace – the ability to remain calm despite fear, anger, sadness, or stress". This is one word that most closely summarizes my personal interactions / feelings when viewing art. This is especially true for the artists I have chosen for this group exhibition. In a sense, the world around me seems to come to a halt and somehow brings about one of the most blissful states of being, allowing me to fully engage, appreciate and enjoy the experience of what is in front of me. My hope is that others will share a similar experience to this, especially those who have not been exposed to these works previously."
