About the presenter: A Bay Area native and ArtSpan Artist, Jill Andre can be found out and about in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco sketching on just about any given day. Jill Andre says, "I'm a voyeur, I watch everything", as she quickly captures the people she observes in her drawings. From her thousands of sketches, Jill selects an image and begins to cultivate a deeper relationship by way of her brush and palette. She mixes colors till what she sees represents how she feels about the image. During Covid times, creating online with others has provided Jill an interesting view; trying new things, judging less. Jill has taught and continues to teach art in both private and group settings. Her approach is to keep it simple and design an environment where each student can successfully create.
