The 9th Annual ArtSeed Earth Week Art-a-thon — a 10-hour art- and music-making marathon to benefit underprivileged ArtSeed students. Make art with others in collaboration, work on something by yourself to take home, or submit your art for inclusion in ArtSeed’s Summer Exhibition at the Thoreau Center. ArtSeed’s 2017 theme is Marching Home: Grasping Valor, Preserving Freedom, and Protecting the Earth on the Way to Peace! Refreshments will be provided and prizes awarded! Artists, veterans, foster children, and others are sharing stories to grasp the meaning of the US Constitution and are making art and music as if they were professionals who make it their business to resolve conflicts. The exhibition of art will explore statesmanship, bravery, and belonging.
