Artist Jana Marcus comes to the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History to discuss her award-winning work on the transgender community, Transfigurations, which has received the honor of "Best GLBT Non-Fiction Book of 2012" by the Independent Publishers Association of New York. Jana's 8-piece series, "Aidan Transitioning," is currently on display in the Museum as part of its Photo ID exhibition. "Aidan Transitioning" is life-size series that shows Aidan transitioning from female to male over a three year period, along with a moving text of his thoughts and feelings during that time.
