Caldwell Snyder Gallery invites you to an evening reception celebrating extraordinary new works by acclaimed California painter Deladier Almeida on Thursday, June 18th at the gallery's San Francisco location on Sutter Street.
Caldwell Snyder Gallery is pleased to present a new exhibition of paintings by Deladier Almeida, with an opening reception on Thursday, June 18th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the gallery's San Francisco location. Known for his atmospheric interpretations of California landscapes, Almeida transforms familiar rural scenes into emotionally resonant compositions through expressive brushwork, luminous color, and subtle abstraction. His paintings invite viewers to slow down and reconsider the relationship between memory, perception, and place.
Born in Brazil and based in California since the mid-1980s, Almeida studied at UC Davis under Wayne Thiebaud and Roland Petersen. Influenced by Bay Area figurative painters including Richard Diebenkorn, David Park, and Elmer Bischoff, Almeida's practice explores the relationship between landscape, structure, atmosphere, and emotion. His work has been exhibited at institutions including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the John Natsoulas Center for the Arts, and the Bennington Center for the Arts. Set within the heart of downtown San Francisco, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience Almeida's richly layered paintings in an intimate gallery setting while celebrating the enduring legacy of California landscape painting.
Exhibition is on view from June 18th - July 31st
