Music@Menlo explores Russia's artistic transformation and the period of Soviet artistic censorship, through the music of Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich and life stories of Alexander Solzhenitsyn as told by his son, pianist Ignat Solzhenitsyn. Ignat will share poetry by his father in this Behind the Music discussion event on November 7. This is followed by a concert performance of works by Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich on Friday, November 8.
