Kala Art Institute invites you to join us for Art | Kala 2016 an exhibition, auction and gala benefit to support Kala’s artistic, cultural, and educational programs.
Steven Oliver, a founder of the construction firm Oliver & Company and visionary behind Oliver Ranch – an expansive collection of site-specific art in Sonoma County, will host the auction as Honorary Chair. Art | Kala 2016 opens with a two-week exhibition featuring inventive, contemporary art made here and now in the Bay Area. It culminates the night of Saturday, April 23 with a lively Gala Auction of all the work on view.
Art | Kala 2016 features artworks by over 100 talented artists, and unique art-related items, local treasures, and experiences offered through both live and silent auctions. Celebrity chef Narsai David will return as Master of Ceremonies and Wes Sparling as our auctioneer. We are thrilled to honor beloved Kala artists, John DeMerritt & Nora Pauwels and the dynamic duo and the creative force otherwise known as Paulson Bott Press, Renee Bott & Pam Paulson as the 2016 recipients of Kala Master Artists Award.
