A beautiful, fragrant exhibit of more than 41 categories of expertly grown roses will be on display to the public, May 11, 11a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The public can enter roses and rose photography from 7-10 a.m. The show opens at 11 a.m. with speakers, demonstrations and displays. American Rose Society certified judges will award honors to rose entries. Eleven awards are given for photography. The annual, one-day-only event takes place at the northwest end of Bon Air, adjacent to Wells Fargo Bank. It offers educational opportunities for aspiring and expert gardeners.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, the family-friendly event features a children’s table where volunteers will assist kids of all ages in creating a beautiful bouquet for Mom at no cost. At 3 p.m., after judging is complete, cut roses are available for purchase at $1 each, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Center for Domestic Peace.
