In the search for her calling, the employee with no filter made it her life mission to dominate the hip-hop world and recorded her first rap single, “I’m a Cut You.” She’s still her ghetto fabulous self, but with a new career and a new weave.Bon Qui Qui is the alter ego of Mad TV’s Anjelah Johnson-Reyes. This original character arose from the Mad TV sketch “King Burger” and followed Johnson-Reyes’ stand-up routine, “Nail Salon,” which went viral and made her an internet sensation; the video currently logs 33 million YouTube views. Bon Qui Qui has since been viewed and replicated by over 65 million people worldwide. After recording and releasing three songs and two music videos as Bon Qui Qui, Anjelah signed a record deal with Warner Bros Records and released her debut album.Bon Qui Qui recently teamed up with Benefit Cosmetics for her third music video, “This Is How We Do It (Benefit Remix).” All songs and videos are currently available on iTunes and YouTube.Anjelah is a former professional cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders and as a Raiderette was named Rookie of the Year and performed in Super Bowl XXXVII. In June 2009 Anjelah recorded her first one-hour special for Comedy Central and Warner Brothers Records titled, That’s How We Do It. Her second one-hour special, The Homecoming Show, aired on NUVOtv in July 2013 and is currently available on DVD. Johnson has starred in such films as Our Family Wedding, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Enough Said. Anjelah has also guest starred on shows such as The Shield, Ugly Betty, Curb Your Enthusiasm and others all while performing standup comedy nationwide.
