All-around talent Andy Allo (model, actress, musician) got a big boost in 2011, when Prince asked her to join his band, the New Power Generation, as guitarist and vocalist. He executive produced, arranged and partially co-wrote her sophomore album, 2012's UnFresh, which dabbles in throwback Big Band funk, neo-soul slow-jams, and folk-influenced acoustic grooves. Allo is on a solo tour-it's just her and her acoustic guitar, meaning the material will lean heavier toward the soul arena than say, the funk jams, and her voice, the one that so captivated Prince, will take center stage.
