Speakers:

Richard Anderson, Consultant / Educator, OE Strategy & Austin Center for Design
Richard Anderson is a human-centered design (thinking) practice, management, and organizational strategy consultant with international management, cross-organizational development, and more than 20 years of experience. He started and directed the Experience Center at Viant (an e-business innovation consultancy), as well as the User Research & Experience Strategy discipline at Sapient and Studio Archetype (both experience design/strategy firms). He also managed user research personnel and facilitated product development process improvement at Yahoo!, and is a Principal of OE Strategy, providing human-centered research, strategy, and design thinking for organizations seeking to make a positive difference in the world.
He was Editor-in-Chief of interactions magazine with Jon Kolko, helped start and grow numerous human-computer interaction research and design communities around the world as ACM SIGCHI’s Local Chapters Chair, and advises and organizes events for Stanford Medicine X, an initiative focused, in part, on transforming the healthcare system via patient-centered design.
He has taught design and design management throughout his career in many ways and in many places, including the University of California Extension (Berkeley & Santa Cruz), the Academy of Art University, and General Assembly (where he taught the 10-week, full-time User Experience Design Immersive course 7 times). He presently teaches interaction design and social entrepreneurship at the Austin Center for Design and gives talks and leads workshops around the world on effectively designing for social impact.

Meghan Schofield, Experience Design Lead, Google
Meghan Schofield has a passion for making experiences. Big and small – digital and physical – complicated and simple. Creating beautiful, engaging and powerful moments, no matter where they live, online or offline, is always the goal.
For over 15 years, she worked as a Project Manager and Art Director building interactive museums. Currently, she works as an Experience Design Lead at Google helping to craft immersive environments centered around the Google brand and technology. In between there's that awesome stint in tech startups building brands, software products and learning every step of the way. Always, she's dreaming up new pie flavors, obsessing over typography and keeping her spirits up.
