Join us at A New Leaf Gallery | Sculpturesite this Sunday, April 6th from 2pm to 4pm as we celebrate the opening of SURFACES with a reception for the artists!
With this exhibition we are pleased to introduce two new artists, Pam Morris and Michael Hannon, and to re-introduce Kari Minnick. Bay Area glass artist Pam Morris has recently become interested in incorporating moving images into her large kiln-formed sculptures with video projections and light emitting diodes. Michael Hannon uses three highly contrasting materials in his life-sized figures: slick and highly reflective duct tape, newspaper fragments, and hammer-textured copper. Kari Minnick's bold kiln-formed glass works use broad painterly patterns in delicate layers and contrasting textures, all brought to life by the luminous quality of glass. Come discover these exciting new works and help us welcome the artists to the Gallery!
