Tim WendelboeTim has over 20 years of experience in the coffee industry and now runs his own roastery and espresso bar in Oslo, Norway where he imports, roasts and serves high-quality coffee.Apart from winning seven Nordic Roaster Competitions with his team, Tim was the 2004 World Barista Champion and the 2005 World Cup Tasting Champion and has also published several books on coffee.Tim spends a lot of time working together with the producers he buys coffee from in order to improve the quality of their product. He is also working on his own coffee farm, Finca el Suelo, in Colombia where he uses his knowledge in soil biology to grow coffee free from pesticides and mineral fertilizers.
On the nightAt this event, Tim will share insights into the world of top-class coffee and how he has developed his business, roasting style and sourcing program to stand out from the crowd. We'll also hear the important lessons he has learned over the last 20 years by working in different parts of the coffee value chain.
Guests will also have the chance to taste Tim Wendelboe's coffee, made with the organically produced coffee beans from Tim's farm in Colombia, that will be used in SHACK15 when launched.
