An Evening with Davy Rothbart of Found Magazine

Davy Rothbart is the creator of Found Magazine and a frequent contributor to public radio's This American Life, will be in San Francisco for two shows at Second Act Marketplace Events on Friday, November 14. The shows are at 7 and 9 p.m.

For those not familiar with it, FOUND collects notes and letters found on the ground and the street, usually to hilarious and heartwarming effect. Davy will share some of the more hilarious and heartbreaking notes they’ve received.

Also, Davy is the author of a book of personal essays, My Heart Is An Idiot, and a collection of stories, The Lone Surfer of Montana, Kansas. He writes regularly for GQ Magazine and Grantland, and his work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Believer. His documentary film, Medora, about a resilient high-school basketball team in a dwindling Indiana town, premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and recently aired on the acclaimed PBS series Independent Lens.

Davy and FOUND are the inspiration behind a hit musical, Found, playing in NYC.
