Perhaps it is medicinal. Perhaps it is ritualistic. But it is not a convenience nor a quick fix to satisfy thirst. Tea ceremony is a communal experience—to serve and be served with something exquisite and refined.
Tranquil Resonance Studio will present an evening of elegant tea tasting at the Clarion. Some of China’s most famous Green Teas including Dragonwell, Huang Shan Maofeng, and Taiping Monkey King with be brewed. Experience eight green teas from this year’s harvest. Tea scholar and guqin master David Wong will explain what makes a good green tea and what you should be looking for when buying green tea. Exquisite after dinner snacks to accompany your tasting pleasure. David Wong will perform on the guqin and guzheng with Bonnie Lee, and poet Clara Hsu will present her unique translations of two women poets of the Song Dynasty.
