Royal NoneSuch Gallery is a 100% volunteer-run, non-commercial alternative gallery and event space in North Oakland. Since 2009, we have been dedicated to creating community around art-based experiences that are thought provoking and conceptually rigorous, while also being accessible and fun. In our 5th year of programming, RNG is launching our second rendition of KNOW/HOW, a live and silent auction event on June 21st, in conjunction with a month-long IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign to raise a combined $10,000 and keep the gallery doors open for another year. In the spirit of fostering a collaborative and inclusive Bay Area arts community, KNOW/HOW auction items will span the exchange of skills, custom-made artworks and shared experiences rather than pre-existing art objects. Bid on over 40 one-of-a-kind contributions from Bay Area artists, writers, and other friends of RNG. Past offerings have included artist-led workshops, custom-made artworks, curated screenings, multi-course gourmet meals, mail art packages, behind-the-scenes tours, and more.
