An Angel Called My Name: A Conversation With Jyoti

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Active/Passive, Masculine/Feminine, Yang/Yin. Some spiritual teachings map the path of the one into the dyad, the polarity or duality - leading to the "10,000 things." But so many of our experiences and teachings come from texts, from structures and other familiar forms that have a natural bias from a masculine point of view. What does it take to reframe in today's diverse culture to be with the feminine instead of looking at her?
Jyoti, who is a self-styled storyteller, will share from her experiences as a mother and grandmother, a graduate student at the Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerand and as an initiate in sacred ceremonies and traditions that support her connection to the archetype of the Divine Mother. Through questions and answers, she will draw water from a well where we will all drink as we walk our individual paths during a time of collective shift from a reigning paradigm, returning to one that is based on "original principles" defined by the sacred feminine and instructed by nature and the sacred.

Jyoti (Jeneane Prevatt, PhD) is a spiritual teacher and co-founder of Kayumari with spiritual communities both in America and Europe. Projects she has helped birth are The Black Hills Unity Concert, The Council of Twelve and Above conceived by the Le Ciel Foundation and The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Currently, she is birthing The Fountain whose mission is to restore an economic model based on reciprocity and collaboration guided by nature and the sacred. She is the author of An Angel Called My Name.
