Americano Social Club

The Americano Social Club plays music for la dolce vita--and their music's been described as an ideal soundtrack for life in the Bay Area. The band is led by Michael Zisman on mandolin with Emily Zisman (no relation) on vocals, Jason Vanderford (of Junk Parlor) on guitar and vocals, and Joe Kyle, Jr. (of HowellDevine and The Waybacks) on upright bass. The sound is an intoxicating mix, and the band is known for eclectic covers that range effortlessly from Johnny Cash to Nirvana and Adele along with scalding choros, originals you can't forget and romantic cafe music from around the world. True to its name, the band welcomes it audiences as part of the show--creating a classic social club vibe which makes it effortless to meet fellow listeners, casually impress a date, or feel comfortable listening solo.
