Alyssa Monks comes to the library at CSU Monterey Bay for a special observational painting lecture as part of the CSU Summer Arts program. When she first began painting the human body, Alyssa was obsessed with it and needed to create as much realism as possible until it began to unravel and deconstruct itself. Her works explore the possibility and potential where representational painting and abstraction meet.
