As part of our Black History Month Initiative, Airbnb’s Black Employee Resource Group in partnership with the Museum of the African Diaspora will host a panel discussion examining the Evolution of Black Travel.
Working with Calvin Ramsey, NAACP and Nomadness, we will honor Black History month by hosting a panel that examines Black travel in this country. Starting with the historical perspective, specifically, The Green Book, Author and Playwright, Calvin Ramsey, will explore the constraints under which Black people traveled during segregation. Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the NAACP will focus on the present state of Black travel including their partnership with Airbnb. Finally, Evita Robinson of Nomadness will focus on the future of Black travel - group travel and land investment.
