Pajaro Valley Arts Council (PVAC) proudly presents its exciting new exhibit which explores the land and water harvested for sustenance, and the people who ranch and farm the land. It focuses on the people, produce, politics, land and history of the region. Through this exhibit, the PVAC provides a broad overview of the history, day-to-day operations, and impact of agriculture on the community.
There are two parts to this exhibit, an all-media exhibit at the PVAC and a plein air exhibit at the Agricultural History Project at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, 2601 E.Lake Ave., Watsonville.
This exhibit, was juried by Beverly Moore, Jane Gregorious and Susan Matulich. It features all media, including painting, printmaking, small sculpture and photography in a variety of formats and sizes by 39 regional artists.
The Opening Reception is Sunday: May 5, 2-4PM at the Pajaro Valley Arts Council, 37 Sudden Street, Watsonville.
The Plein air exhibit Opening Reception is Saturday May 18, 4-6PM at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds,2601 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville.
This invitational exhibit features 11 artists who painted plain air works in and around Santa Cruz County for this exhibit. The exhibit days and times are: Thursday through Sunday, 10:00AM - 4:00PM.
