SEE EVENT DETAILS
After Dawn is a weekly Sunday morning party at Monroe About this weeks line up :>>> Halloran (Kazbah, LA) https://soundcloud.com/halloransfA California native, Halloran has solidified himself as one of the hottest new-comers to the underground dance music community. In just a few short years, Halloran has been able to establish a fanbase that spans the entire state and beyond, curating a dark, sexy, and melodic sound that became his signature offering throughout the West Coast. It all began with mind-blowing visit to Burning Man several years back; Halloran was pleasantly surprised to discover fresh perspectives both musically and spiritually. A sensory overload of audio and visual stimulation sparked adeep desire within his soul to explore the limits of heart-moving music. This led him to another journey shortly after, where he had a transformative experience in South America. There, he witnessed the power of live music, Latin culture, and Techno at its best. Returning to San Francisco after a year of travel abroad, he naturally gravitated towards a flourishing underground dance music scene that was earning quite the reputation worldwide. It wasn’t long before Halloran dove head first into a music career DJing on a weekly basis in every club, underground party, and afterhours venue he could find. He was quickly invited to open for well-respected and influential artists such as Timo Maas, Matthias Tanzmann, Henry Saiz, and others within the House and Techno music circuit. After moving to Venice Beach, CA, Halloran worked to bring the same level of energy and melodic tones he was known for in San Francisco. Besides playing clubs and underground parties throughout the West Coast, Halloran has been busy playing local and international festivals such as BPM, Northern Nights Music Festival, Burning man, Boogaloo Mountain Jam, Apparitions Festival, Genius Loci Festival, and Lightning in A bottle. Halloran's Goal for 2017 is simple: continue to share his musical taste with others in an articulate way that represents him as an artist, and most importantly, as a quality DJ.>>> Ray Kash (Temple, LA)http://soundcloud.com/raykashGrowing up in New York had a huge influence on me and is what interested me to house music, from the sounds of artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Jonathan Peters, Boris, Roger Sanchez and other artists that were shaping the underground scene in New York;in 2010 I decided to move to LA, which was interesting in the beginning cause the underground scene was still underground here, so the clubs were more interested in commercial house music, it was not till 2013-14 till the underground sound reached out to more of the club environment and it was a great time to be in Los Angeles. all of a sudden more people were interested and more creative ideas and proper parties were surfacing the city, in 2015 I decided that I want to create a party and brand dedictaed to underground house music which is striclly about music and my focus was more on local talents, with all the headliners taking over the city wasn't much room for up and coming local artists to shine, that's were Temple was born, the name kinda just felt right, a place where people can be them self , and come and forget everything and just be in the moment and lose them self in music, also an old song by jon cutler titled "it's yours" lyrics relates to the name as well. after almost a year doing a monthly gig decided to take Temple to a weekly party and that's where Temple Tuesdays came about. As far as what is specifically my sound and style , it's hard to narrow it down, it's somewhere between deep, tech and techno, anything that feels right to me, as I get more into my career as a Dj I like the storytelling part through my sets and taking the audience on a journey through music, I like to make people feel not just dance, I think those has the most remembering effects on people.>>> Artur (Borderless Project, LA) https://soundcloud.com/artur-pedHailing from the depths of the industrial city of Juarez Mexico, Artur, a sunset driven desert revolutionary has enamored the southern California deep house/techno scene since early 2012. Based in LA and member of Akashic Records & Borderless Project, he continues to craft the rich tunes and beats venerable of a resplendent, nomadic lifestyle. He gained interest and impeccable taste in music through the influence of the all too famous Hard Pop and the ever growing popularity of the electronic music genre. His sets are dosed with vibrant electronica, cutting edge techno, and ethereal house with the sudden, magnetic rhythm of tribal house and riveting minimal. With his expertly poised taste in powerful tracks and a series of his own produced mixes, he has moved hundreds, from southwest desert parties, to upscale clubs and has opened for talent such as Balcazar & Sordo, Droog, Black Coffee, Raxon, Frank & Tony, Einmusik and Animal Picnic amongs others. A springing newcomer, Artur continues to shatter genre conveniency and inspires his own blend, enlivening crowds and resonating with them to levels rarely experienced.
