[Across the Pacific - New Silk Road Invitational Exhibit, USA]
The American Society for Contemporary Chinese Painting is honored to accept the invitation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, to organize [Across the Pacific - New Silk Road Invitational Exhibit, USA], as an integral part of the Consulate General's 'Across the Pacific China Art Festival'.
This year's exhibit centers around the theme 'New Silk Road', collecting varied art styles to colorize the millennia dreams of the Silk Road, and narrate the art festival's "One Belt One Road" theme relating to the Sino-American art landscape.
This exhibit aggregates San Francisco Bay Area's many Chinese Painting elites to form exhibit committee to elevate exhibit standards. As ideas come to fruition from spontaneous area meetups and development of area styles, the committee's efforts have culminated into three high lights for our exhibit:
Academically, the exhibit is hosted by the renowned artist Ting Shao Kuang, who specially created painting 'Silk Road' to guide into our 'Sino-American Art New Silk Road' forum topics, attracting domestic and international interests.
New art medium and materials: After the Tang dynasty, the main trade product of the Silk Road transitioned from silk to porcelain, and the word China become a beautiful synonym. To commemorate, China's JingDeZheng Institute of Porcelain has specifically created 'New Silk Road' contemporary porcelain art, to relive the long history of the trade. Illustrating innovation in artistic materials and medium, porcelain art's contemporary DNA traces from the Qin-Han dynastic period, to its apex in the middle Qing dynasty two thousand years later. As ancient contemporaries formed new styles, this contemporary national treasure level porcelain art will grace our exhibit.
High tech art experiences: Plants and landscapes appearing on computer screen will interact with live audience's hand gestures.
More exciting pieces will arrive. We invite you to the Odd Fellows Building at 26 7th Street, San Francisco, CA, 94030 On October, 9th, 2016, at 2:00pm for an academic yet fun-filled event!
