Acrobatic Storytelling presents— Vulnerability

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Vulnerability is uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure. When we are vulnerable, we gamble for the greatest joy— understanding, acceptance, and love— and risk the darkest sorrows of rejection and alienation. Sometimes we make ourselves vulnerable in the wrong moment or to the wrong person. Or for the sake of someone else's desires— and then we regret it.Acrobatic Storytelling tells our communities most intimate stories through partner acrobatics, dance, and narration— and this time, we are showing up and sharing our vulnerable moments.

We have been asking one another, "when was the last time you opened up to someone? how did it go?"The tales we've collected include: Coming out to your family Opening up a relationship Overcoming addiction Placing blind trust— your life— in someone's hands Facing your past as a colonized culture Our vulnerability in the face of climate change(and so many more) We are featuring performances by: Alyssa Arroyo & Charles Green Siobhan Shiva & Cody Schellenberger Chris Filkins & Emily Reuman  Miyoko Rifkin & Eric Blood
