Acetone with Violent Change, Heavy Gus, Projections by Travesty

Acetone: In celebration of the release of the career-spanning box set I'm Still Waiting, founding Acetone members Mark Lightcap and Steve Hadley will be revisiting their catalog in a select group of rare live shows. In the years following the death of bandmate Richie Lee, Hadley and Lightcap burrowed underground, recording and occasionally releasing improvised instrumentals l as "The Ecstasy of Gold". They resurfaced as Acetone in 2017 to play a set of shows around the Light in the Attic release of Acetone 1992-2001, with the help of Ecstasy collaborators Jason Yates and Senon Williams, and again last year with a new recording of Jim Sullivan's "Plain As You Eyes Can See" for the Light in the Attic & Friends compilation.

For this new round of shows, they have returned to the trio format with Williams again on bass. This performance at The Chapel marks their first live appearance since their 2018 show at The Barbican Centre in London, described by The Times of London as "Unforgettable".

Violent Change: is a band formed in San Francisco, California in 2012. The band has consisted of a rotating cast of talent, currently including members of Famous Mammals, the Circulators and Now. They create a blend psych punk that brings to mind the sounds of GBV, Shoes and Gifted Children. They have a new album out on slothmate productions.

Heavy Gus: Born of the stark beauty and bittersweet desolation of the high desert, California trio Heavy Gus blurs the lines between grungy garage band fare, hazy surf, and dreamy indie rock on their captivating full-length debut, Notions. Bristling with live-wire electricity, the collection is lean and spare, fueled by distorted guitars and a driving rhythm section, and the performances are loose and organic to match, captured spontaneously in the moment with little room for overthinking or second-guessing.
