The Sunnyvale Lace Museum will feature “A Winter Wonderlandâ€, a new exhibit opening November 16, just for the holidays. The annual ornament sale will take place at the same time.
The exhibit will feature dolls dressed for an ice skating party on a frozen pond. The icy scene will include lacy garlands on the trees and crochet snow flakes falling from the sky. Over 99 different styles of snow flakes will be used.
The annual ornament sale features ornaments covered with lace, beads and ribbons as well as ribbon pinecones, quilted star ornaments, tatted lace globes, beaded ornaments and much more. A special touch will be Kimekomi lace (fabric covered lace balls), fabric ornaments, and quilted ball ornaments. The lace artisans have a wonderful assortment or ornaments with affordable pricing. All ornaments are hand crafted by local volunteers.
The Holiday exhibit opens Saturday, November 16th and runs through Jan 11, 2014. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 11 - 4 at 552 S. Murphy Ave, Sunnyvale, CA.
