From Vivaldi’s exuberant quadruple violin concerto, featuring soloists from our own orchestra, to a World Premiere by young American composer Stephen Spies, this program weaves music from Italy and America into a bright tapestry of virtuosic music for string orchestra. We present this final concert of the season in preparation for our summer tour to the towns of Umbria and Tuscany in Italy. The program will also feature movements from the great chamber music masterpieces performed by our own orchestra players.
