How does a potter, designer, prototyper, and relentless tinkerer think about our relationship to work and the meaning of making? Join us at the warehouse studio of Jered’s Pottery (in Richmond’s glass and ceramics arts district) for this Practice Studio where Jered Nelson gets us on the pottery wheel and opens up questions that help us explore our relationship to work, making, thinking, and being.
Point Richmond’s own Jered Nelson has hand-thrown over 100,000 vessels in his career as a potter. He was a prototyper and problem solver for Heath Ceramics – where he worked with Chez Panisse, Dwell, and House Industries. Jered’s Pottery has created custom dinnerware for world-renowned chefs and designers, including Michael Mina, as well as an exclusive line for Restoration Hardware.
