The Arts Division of UC Santa Cruz invites you to another installment in their 2013 Lecture Series, "Engaging the Mind." Entitled "A New American Picture," this lecture is a photographic presentation of anonymous Americans, primarily those that are economically powerless and in the margins. Speaker Doug Rickard used the massive machine-made image archive of Google Street View to navigate the American streets and explore the places that are economically devastated and largely semi-abandoned.
