River Boy is touring the country playing bluegrass concerts to raise money for animal shelters. They will perform at The Plough and The Stars, 116 Clement Street on Saturday, September 28th at 8:00 pm. All proceeds from the event go to San Francisco SPCA. River Boy is an all-acoustic band based in Charleston, SC blending original Bluegrass and Americana tunes with traditional ones. Each band member brings his special ingredients to the mix making the River Boy experience both familiar and new to the audience.
Shayne Floyd leads the group with rhythm guitar, lead vocals and song-writing. Kenny Barnes – a bluegrass legend in the Charleston area – plays the upright bass and sings lead and harmony vocals. Tom DeLorge trades off banjo and resonator guitar (aka Dobro), and Dr. Jared Fisher plays mandolin along with some harmony vocals. This bands insists on having a good time and you will feel it in their live performance.
