You've seen them on the playa, the Circle Of Regional Effigies (CORE) brought from around the world to Burning Man, lighting up the desert with their wonder and ultimately their flames.
This month we'll have two different CORE teams recount their experience building a CORE project: how they conceived, designed, built and transported their works to Burning Man, and how the CORE project helped to build and bond their communities. Speakers include leaders from East Bay CORE and South Bay CORE teams.
A brief Q&A will follow the talks, with opportunity for more questions during our regular meet and greet part of the evening.
We'll again gather upstairs in the old Oakland Chinatown banquette hall. If you're hungry they have surprisingly good, inexpensive food. Near BART with relatively easy parking.
