Pride celebrations had extra resonance this year after the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Prop. 8 and the federal Defense of Marriage Act, and more than 1 million people gathered in San Francisco to celebrate.
Thousands of people partied in the streets of the Castro starting Thursday after the Supreme Court ruling, but the celebrations peaked Saturday and Sunday with the Dyke March and celebration in Dolores Park and the Gay Pride Parade yesterday.
