7/3 Happy Hour for the Soul: Transitions

SEE EVENT DETAILS

As spring transitions to summer, many of us are transitioning internally as well. This happy hour for the soul welcomes writing from a lens of transition.

-----
Happy Hour for the Soul is a place for you to go to connect more deeply with yourself through writing, and with each other through sharing silence for an hour, and optionally, words, after writing together.
-----

Have you been hoping to write more?

May it be journaling, writing fiction, non-fiction, letters to a past self, a eulogy, songs, or poetry, it can be difficult to maintain a writing habit without accountability.

This event gives us permission to gather, connect briefly, then sit and write together in silence for an hour before continuing to write...or chat with other fellow writers. Think of this as happy hour for your soul. You do not need to be a professional writer. Introverts and extroverts should both feel comfortable in this space.

There is no alcohol provided at this event, but feel free to BYOB.
Some healthy snacks are provided, but feel free to bring snacks to share with others before the event begins.

Agenda:

7:00pm - 7:30pm: Arrival, check in, snacks/dinner, mingling
7:30pm - 8:00pm: Guided connection to self, warmup writing prompt
8:00pm - 9:00pm: 1 hr of writing
8:45pm - 9:30pm: Optional group sharing, mingling, or continue to write if that calls to you!

You will never be forced to share your writing, although the option will be available in small groups afterward.

Please silence your phones after entering the space, and feel free to use them outside the space so as not the distract the rest of the group.
