The theme for this year is “A Look Back.” Having reached the five-year milestone, the exhibit will not only showcase the best works produced by El Tecolote photographers since 2017, but will also include some of the best work from previous years. This year promises to show the best of the best—vibrant, colorful and action-packed images that reflect both the beauty and struggle of being Latino.
Created and curated by Mabel Jiménez, photo editor for El Tecolote, the exhibit is the only ongoing photography event in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to highlighting the Latino experience.
Join us for a family-friendly night of music, community, drinks, and of course, photography, as we take a look back at some of the most significant moments in the recent history of Bay Area Latinos, as well as our day-to-day lives and traditions.
Featuring 50 prints in our gallery space, as well as an outdoor slideshow of more than 200 images the day of the reception.
Live music by Dos Bandoleros
Exhibit runs through August 24, gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
