5TH ANNUAL BENEFIT CONCERT SUPPORTING NEXT DOOR SOLUTIONS TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Campbell’s Orchard City Community Chorus presents its Fifth Annual Benefit Concert – “FOR LOVE” - on Saturday March 7th 2015, at Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1550 Meridian Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125, at 7:30 p.m.
The concert benefits Next Door: Solutions to Domestic Violence. Tickets are available at the door for $20; the doors will open at 7:00 p.m.
Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence:
In 1971, Bea Robinson and Latina activists concerned about violence they and others experienced joined together to start a hotline and refuge for victims of domestic violence and their children. This refuge, the Shelter Next Door, began in a garage in San Jose. It was the second domestic violence shelter program in California and was the first domestic violence shelter offering bilingual English-Spanish services in the nation.
In that garage began Next Door Solutions’ 24-hour crisis hotline (the number of which has not changed since 1971).
Since 1974, Next Door Solutions has provided prevention and intervention services to women, men, children and teens in Santa Clara County and has grown into Santa Clara County’s most comprehensive domestic violence service agency.
Since that time, Next Door Solutions has helped build the lives of tens of thousands of individuals and now serves over 12,000 people annually at many locations with comprehensive services.

Mission Valley Chorus is a group of approximately 80 women singers with a rich history spanning over 50 years as a chapter of Sweet Adelines International Region 12. Our dedication to harmony, to our Director Angela Suraci, and to each other shapes our chorus as we make music together.
