In a thrilling mix of live performances, candid interviews and rare archival footage, Mutiny provides an absorbing account of the contribution of South Asian artists to British popular music in the 1990s while charting the decades of cultural cross-pollination and political struggle that led up to that historic moment. Over the course of seven years Vivek Bald shot Mutiny with virtually no budget in a style that mirrored the DIY ethos of the film's subjects. Featuring artists such as Asian Dub Foundation, Talvin Singh, Fun^Da^Mental, and State of Bengal, remains as a unique time-capsule of the music and activism of the British Asian second generation.

Followed by a conversation between Director Vivek Bald and Bay Area artists Seti-X, Nayomi Munaweera, Navdeep & Maneesh the Twister ... plus a special afterparty at Bissap Baobab Village. Grab dinner before the party!

Use promotional code "cp_2022" when purchasing tickets and receive 20% off an individual $11 ticket (until online sales end 15 minutes before the screening. Online fees not discounted).
