3GT Investigates: Do Undocumented Teenagers Have Reproductive Rights in America?

SEE EVENT DETAILS
3GT Investigates: Do Undocumented Teenagers Have Reproductive Rights in America? 3GT’s newest project puts up a work-in-progress that uses investigative theater to explore the reality of the current administration’s war on the reproductive rights of undocumented girls in our country. Our long-time partner, NARAL Pro-Choice America, then leads a panel discussion with activists in the field about what’s being done to counter the attacks.

ABOUT OUR THEME
Are things in San Francisco as weird and wicked in 2018 as they were in 11th century Scotland? Is the toil and trouble of the current climate finally coming to a boil? Which of our City’s many bubbles — from real estate to tech to politics and beyond — are ready to burst and who (or what) will do the popping?
The 2018 New Works Festival will take place from July 23 to August 5, 2018 at one of San Francisco’s most innovative theatre spaces, Z Below. Since 2012, this free annual event has featured new work by Bay Area women playwrights from 3GT and our wider community. We are passionate about engaging the Bay’s diverse multigendered, multicultural audiences, and increasing their access to women’s stories and experiences. With national attention focused on the need to hear women’s voices across the cultural and political spectrum, 3GT’s mission could not be more relevant.
The Festival showcases outstanding work from our core 3GT resident playwright development program as well as from our special outreach projects. 2018’s theme will give local theatre artists and audience members a chance to explore our community’s “bubble” from as many perspectives as possible, and we’re excited to see what happens!
